Government Union ad rips Tea Party-backed candidates

UPI reports:
The largest federal workers union in the United States says it will run an ad attacking Tea Party-backed candidates pledging to cut spending and freeze hiring.

In the radio ad, scheduled to run in seven states, the American Federation of Government Employees criticizes "bumper sticker solutions" Republican congressional candidates offer to lower the federal deficit, arguing that wholesale spending cuts would affect Social Security, veterans' healthcare and border security, The Washington Post reported Friday.
