UAW dropping Chase accounts in protest

The Detroit News reports:
The president of the United Auto Workers said today that the labor union is withdrawing hundreds of millions of dollars from JPMorgan Chase to protest the bank's refusal to issue a two-year moratorium on foreclosures in Michigan and because of its financial ties with R.J. Reynolds Corp.

"The UAW is in the process of moving money away from Chase to other banks," UAW President Bob King said during a news conference today at Central United Methodist Church, surrounded by other labor and Detroit area religious leaders.

No word yet on whether the UAW will call John Dingle or his wife on this one.
