FBI agents cheated on domestic-investigations examinations

The Washington Times reports:
FBI agents, including several supervisors, cheated on tests on the bureau's new Domestic Investigations and Operations Guide (DIOG), which describes the procedures FBI employees must follow when conducting domestic investigations, a government report Monday said.

The Justice Department's Office of Inspector General said in a 35-page report that a limited review of allegations that agents improperly took the open-book test together or had access to an answer sheet has turned up "significant abuses and cheating."

Inspector General Glenn A. Fine has called on the FBI to discipline the agents, throw out the test results and come up with new exams to see if FBI agents understand the new rules allowing them to conduct surveillance and open files on Americans without evidence of criminal wrongdoing.
