Fannie And Freddie Have Powerful Buddies And That Ensures No Real Reform

Forbes reports:
The financial reform bill is reaching its final stages and the question remains: why is there no mention of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? This question has been repeatedly asked and has yet to receive an answer, but if you begin to take a closer look the reasons become apparent.

Two of the reform bill’s biggest proponents, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank, are among Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s largest beneficiaries receiving $133,900 and $40,100, respectively. The third highest beneficiary is President Barack Obama, who was paid $105,849 in campaign contributions, and the list goes on. It looks like Fannie and Freddie have more no-show jobs than a mob construction site!
