Sen. Robert Byrd hospitalized in serious condition

USA Today reports:

Sen. Robert Byrd, the longest-serving member of Congress, was admitted to a Washington-area hospital last week and is considered "seriously ill," according to a statement released today by his office.

This is a big story because the Democrats need all the votes they can get in the Senate. Anyway, we wish Senator Byrd the best. His health is more important than petty politics.
