Off-duty Chicago cop shoots, kills apparent burglar at South Side home

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:
An off-duty Chicago Police officer shot and killed an apparent burglar Monday night at the officer’s Grand Crossing home, according to a spokesman for the Independent Police Review Authority.
Too bad other Chicago residents don't have the same civil rights as off duty Chicago Police officers. Here's Cook County States Attorney Anita Alvarez, who thinks no one should be allowed to own a gun.
