Man accused of threatening Mayor Daley denies charges

The Chicago Tribune reports:
A day after being arrested on charges that he threatened to shoot Mayor Richard Daley, a California man denied the charges and accused authorities of overreacting.

"I absolutely did not threaten Mayor Daley," Christopher Fox said from behind a glass partition Friday afternoon in the Santa Clara County Jail. "I am being treated like a terrorist for exercising my First Amendment rights."
Gun control and Chicago history, not a pretty picture.
