Recent layoffs knock Sacramento region off health care perch

The Sacramento Bee reports:
Last month's layoffs of nearly 200 health care workers by the Fremont-Rideout Health Group pushed down the capital region's standing nationally as an incubator for health care jobs.

The Sacramento area went from first to last in the latest rankings by San Francisco-based Health Workforce Solutions, which tracks 30 health care markets across the United States as part of the company's Labor Market Pulse Index.
