Mass. GOP looks to gain more ground

The Boston Globe reports:
Massachusetts Republicans, flush with a renewed sense of purpose and fresh energy, begin arriving in Worcester today for a weekend convention at which party leaders and activists will decide the shape of this year’s gubernatorial race.

Convinced they can harness the political unrest that won the party a US Senate seat in January, more than 3,000 delegates will gather to plot not only recapturing the governor’s office but mounting serious challenges for constitutional offices and congressional seats, and boosting their meager numbers in the Legislature.
