Bribery trial witness notes presence of Rep. Gutierrez who got $200K loan

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:
As a politically connected developer sought the city's approval to change zoning of a massive parcel of vacant land, he sat down to give a personal sales pitch to Mayor Daley.

But testimony in a federal bribery trial of Calvin Boender Thursday revealed he and the mayor weren't the only ones in the room.

Also attending in support of the project was U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) -- who previously had taken a $200,000 loan from Boender -- and then-Ald. Ike Carothers (29th), whom Boender is accused of bribing.
That's the Chicago Way. Since Alderman Carothers was a Tony Rezko guy, how could we not mention that Congressman Luis Gutierrez was too. Along with the "boss", Alderman Burke who's trying to fight a subpoena for this trial.
