VA Medical Center Golf Course workers embezzled $180,000

The L.A. Times reports:

Authorities say two workers at the VA's Westside hospital golf course embezzled $180,000. The men, who have been fired, have pleaded guilty to theft of government funds and await sentencing.

It's good to know that a core function of government is owning a golf course.
