Maybe all the employees on the secretive 17th floor of Bernard Madoff's brokerage firm offices weren't the bumbling automatons they've been made out to be.
Prosecutors today charged two former computer programmers in their ongoing investigation of Madoff's $65 billion swindle, saying they falsified books and records by programming computers to churn out false brokerage data and were paid for their silence after threatening to stop.
