Obama: 'I urge you to choose Chicago'

President Barack Obama delivered a deeply personal and rousing appeal Friday in urging the International Olympic Committee to pick his adoptive hometown, Chicago, for the 2016 Olympics.

The IOC was choosing the host of the 2016 Olympics on Friday, as Chicago, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro and Madrid each got a last chance to sway and wow undecided members.

"Chicago is a city where the practical and the inspirational exist in harmony; where visionaries who made no small plans rebuilt after a great fire and taught the world to reach new heights," Obama told the IOC's members. "I urge you to choose Chicago."

Did you like Obama's last line? " ... a city where the practical and the inspirational exist" ? Is Obama referring to how a "high ranking made member " of the Chicago Mob loaded up Chicago's city workforce with mobsters and relatives that are still on the payroll in 2009?
