Los Angeles County Sheriffs are seeking a suspected arsonist behind the county’s largest wildfire on record as firefighters advanced toward containing the 10-day blaze.
Officials said they believed the so-called Station Fire, which has burned an area the size of Chicago in the steep canyons and foothills north of Los Angeles, killed two firefighters and destroyed 96 buildings, may have been started deliberately. The blaze was 38 percent contained as of 10:05 p.m., local time, and a murder probe has begun.
