How Chicago Cops Stole Money

The Chicago Sun-Times reports on rogue cops gone wild:
None of the men spoke before Judge John J. Fleming sentenced them to jail.

During this morning’s court hearing, assistant state’s attorney Lynn McCarthy read a lengthy proffer detailing the allegations.

The former officers, often working under Finnigan’s orders, would usually conduct illegal searches in alleged drug dealers and others’ homes, McCarthy said. Sometimes, the officers would obtain addresses after they pulled over victims for no apparent reason or because they were “Hispanic and driving an expensive vehicle,” she said.

Salinas even withheld an insulin shot from a diabetic man until he told him the address of where he kept a large amount of money.
Yet Mayor Daley thinks only Chicago Police officers should have guns!
