DC Councilman's aide indicted on bribery charges

The AP reports:
The chief of staff for D.C. Councilman Jim Graham was arrested and indicted Thursday on bribery charges alleging he promoted taxicab legislation in exchange for cash.

Graham recently introduced legislation that would require taxi drivers to pay a monthly fee to operate, as drivers in New York and Boston do. Because of the legislation, taxi drivers went on strike earlier this week.
