Census: Maryland Gets Biggest Paychecks

Maryland residents get the fattest paychecks with a median household income of $70,545, according to a U.S. Census Bureau report released Monday .

Along with Maryland, states in the far West and northeast are taking home the most dough. New Jersey has a median income of $70,378 and Connecticut residents take home an average of $68,595.
