The case that won't go "Up in Smoke"

Crain's Detroit Business reports:
It has the careers of three Detroit city officials and the attention span of most hip-hop fans — but it still won’t go “Up in Smoke.”

The Michigan Court of Appeals last week ruled that a trio of former Detroit employees could proceed with a lawsuit against rapper Dr. Dre, his record label and a concert promotion company over footage of a conversation taped at Joe Louis Arena over nine years ago.
