MoveOn copies Club for Growth; Pelosi to vist SF General

The San Francisco Chronicle reports:
MoveOn.org is taking a page from the conservative playbook of the Club for Growth, a PAC that in the 1990s heyday of the GOP funded primary challenges against lingering Republican moderates who demonstrated a lack of ideological purity. They succeeded wildly.

This week, MoveOn is targeting Blue Dog Democrats who have resisted some specifics in their party's health care legislation, although most remain committed to the idea. These are mainly Southerners from districts carried by John McCain; many were recruited by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and now White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel to build the Democratic majority.

Conflict in the Democratic party.
