Mass. Sales Tax Hike Helps New Hampshire Business

The Union Leader reports:
Though the economy remains poor, business is booming on the New Hampshire/Massachusetts border. Well, on our side of the border, anyway.

On Saturday, the Massachusetts sales tax rose by 25 percent, from 5 percent to 6.25 percent. (Gotta keep that welfare state funded!) That same day, a lot of New Hampshire businesses along the southern border reported an increase in traffic from the Bay State.
The Laffer curve in action.
