How About A Nationalized Legal System?

Forbes reports:
The costs of legal services are out of control, and the federal government is the only entity with the power and the will to bring them down. The right to counsel in America is fundamental, and the government must do more to manage the costs of legal services and ensure that all Americans have access to high-quality legal care.

There are several steps required to accomplish this, but the central goal of providing everyone with high quality, affordable legal care would involve creation of a nationalized legal services exchange. A new federal entity, known as the National Legal Services Agency (NLSA), would manage and oversee the legal services exchange and maintain both quality and cost control. It would ensure that attorneys use proper billing methods and only provide necessary services.
