FBI in St. Louis continues corruption investigations

The St. Louis Dispatch reports:
Corruption investigations — like the one that snared a Missouri senator, state representative and former campaign worker Tuesday — are on the rise, the head of the St. Louis office of the FBI says.

Special Agent in Charge John Gillies made the comments Tuesday afternoon, after Sen. Jeff Smith, D-St. Louis, Rep. Steve Brown, D-Clayton, and Smith's former campaign treasurer, Nick Adams, each pleaded guilty to federal felony charges of conspiracy to obstruct justice.
