Apartment glut good for students, bad for owners

Gainsville Sun reports:
College students moving into apartments for the fall term have more empty apartments to choose from, with more than 2,000 units built in major complexes in the past two years, more unsold homes and condominiums converting to rentals and the University of Florida cutting student enrollment.

For renters, that means lower rents and more incentives such as one or two months of free rent, free scooters and debit cards.
