Obama Raises Big Money at Subprime Queen Penny Pritzer's Home

The Chicago Tribune reports:

President Barack Obama turned a $2 million evening of Democratic fundraising into a pep rally for his health-care reform push Thursday, telling donors in his home city that he's not going to wither under opposition.

"I'm from Chicago. I don't break," he told about 750 people at the downtown Hyatt Regency. "This isn't about me. It's about a health-care system that's breaking American families and breaking American businesses and breaking America's economy."

The hotel remarks came after Obama attended a big-dollar fundraiser at the Lincoln Park home of Penny Pritzker, who headed up his presidential campaign cash effort. About 130 people attended that event where tickets each ran $15,200, all to benefit the Democratic National Committee.
