Flashback: Sam Giancana's FBI File Mentions Mayor Donald Stephens of Rosemont ,IL

Sam Giancana's FBI file has an interesting report concerning the Chicago Mob linked town of Rosemont , Il and the late Mayor Donald Stephens. Here's FBI Headquarters File Number 92-3171 Samuel M. Giancana, Top Hoodlum Program- Anti Racketeering. Daily Summary, February 1, 1963:
Donald Stephens, Mayor, Village of Rosemont,IL advised yesterday that he and P.J. Greco, building contractor purchased the Thunderbolt Motel, Rosemont for total price of $520,000. Stephens advised he will not use services of Charles Giancana in management of motel. He advised, however, restaurant and cocktail lounge being leased to on Frnak Sarno, and head bartender will be Thomas Potenzo, brother of Rocco Potenzo. Stephens admits Giancana continues to utilize private office of Thunderbolt, on occasion, as private meeting place. Stephens states in addition that he, Stephens, met with Paul DeLucia and Anthony Accardo at the Flamingo Motel, at which time Accardo stated he desire to purchase a bowling alley and lounge under construction across the street from the Thunderbolt , for $500,000 cash, for his son-in-law, Palmer Plyle, wants Stephens to guarantee liquor license.
Any doubt that Donald Stephens associated with Sam Giancana's bosses Paul DeLucia (Paul "the Waiter" Ricca) and Tony Accardo? This is the place Rod Blagojevich wanted to put a casino. Imagine that.
