Flashback 1998: Chicago Alderman Burke has Precinct in which All 55 absentee ballots show up to City Hall on same day

Flashback to April 20, 1998. The Chicago Tribune had a page 2 story written by Judy Hevrdejs and Mike Conklin titled " QUINN PROBE INCLUDES ATTENDANCE RECORD OF ABSENTEE BALLOTS ". Here's a quote(sorry no link):
Whether or not Pat Quinn asks the Illinois Supreme Court to get involved Tuesday in a challenge of the lieutenant governor's results(and we hear there's a hefty fee he must plunk down), he's gathered material for a pretty fair book.

Latest discovery: In the 14th Ward( Ald. Ed Burke's domain), Quinn researcher Elizabeth Norden came up with a precinct in which all 55 absentee ballots arrived for City Hall election officials on the same day. This amazing coincidence goes on a list of curiosities such as a disappearing 11th Ward ballots, the possibility Pat's own vote got purged and handwriting that wouldn't fool a 4-year-old.
Alderman Burke is the living embodiment of the Chicago Way.
