Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal says consumer complaints about foreclosures is prompting his office to look into the process and fees applied by Feddie Mac and Fannie Mae. He has sent a letter to the mortgage giants seeking records and information into the "select" few law firms and marshal services who are processing the foreclosures in the state. .The struggles of fascism.
Blumenthal's office sent a letter requesting a list of names of law firms and marshal's Fannie Mae and Freddie use here in Connecticut. Blumenthal issued a press release Blumenthal Freddie mac press release telling Fannie and Freddie he knows best on how to do their job. He says that there are only a few law firms doing work for Freddie and Fannie and they need to spread the work around. He says it appears these firms are getting rich off this and that there may be something illegal happening. He goes on to say these two giant organizations work in the "public trust".
