Detroit's Unions Drive People to Poverty

Bloomberg reports:
One-third of the population of Detroit, GM’s hometown, lives in poverty. That’s the most of any U.S. city with more than 250,000 people and almost triple the national rate. Public schools graduate 32 percent of their students, according to a study by Michigan State University, compared with the national average of 72 percent.
According to the union movement and members of the Democratic party: unions help push wages higher and provide more purchasing power raising living standards. How wrong they are. Where ever unions are in control, the middle class will be eliminated. What better proof than Detroit?
