Organized Labor's Greed

The New York Post reports:
New York's powerful big-labor muscle group continues to push its jobs-killing "fair share" income-tax hike, declaring yesterday that the billions of dollars in federal stimulus cash headed the state's way aren't enough to stop "devastating" cuts in school funding.

The WFP, of course, has an interesting definition of the word "devastating."

Faced with a $14 billion deficit for the fiscal year starting April 1, Gov. Paterson proposed cutting overall state aid to local school districts by less than $700 million - to a sum that's still 43 percent higher than it was just five years ago.
When massive increases are labeled as devastating cuts: words have lost their meaning and people will lose their freedom.
