Fitzgerald's inflammatory comments an ethical lapse

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:
U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald has bypassed fair play.

In the criminal case involving Gov. Blagojevich, Fitzgerald has violated the ethical guidelines of the U. S. Department of Justice, the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct, and the standards of the American Bar Association -- all three overseers sharing essentially the same standards.

Though the governor's trial will take place in federal court, Fitzgerald must nonetheless comply with the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct because he is licensed to practice law in Illinois.
