Flashback 2002: A Blagojevich quid pro quo? $1 million deposit precedes sensitive Election Board vote

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:
Two days before possible sanctions from the State Board of Elections, Democrat Rod Blagojevich shifted $1 million in campaign funds to a Downstate bank owned, in part, by the board's vice chairman and her family.

That transaction occurred in late August and, by law, was supposed to have been reported to the state election board early this month. But the gubernatorial candidate failed to disclose putting the money into his political ally's bank until this week after questions from the Chicago Sun-Times.

The Aug. 27 deposit into the DuQuoin State Bank, owned partly by Democrat Wanda Rednour and her family, came before she and others on the election board voted unanimously
The world of Rod Blagojevich.
