Ex- Chicago cop testifies against onetime partner: Robbed Drug Dealers and Planted Drugs

The Chicago Tribune reports:
A corrupt ex-Chicago police officer has begun testifying against his onetime partner at the Dirksen U.S. Courthouse, telling a jury how the pair allegedly robbed drug dealers, planted drugs on suspects and lied under oath.

Richard Doroniuk even testified that he sometimes kicked back cash from search warrants to a judge, though he did not name the jurist. "He had asked for it," Doroniuk said without elaborating.

The comments came on the first day of testimony in the conspiracy trial of Mahmaud Shamah, a Morgan Park District officer who allegedly teamed up with Doroniuk to rob suspects of cash and sometimes narcotics.
