Chicago Passes New Budget With Higher Taxes in 49 to 1 Vote

The Chicago Tribune reports on how Chicago's City Council passed a budget with a vote of 49-1.That's right, higher taxes in these difficult times can't stop Chicago Democrats from voting together in a block. Here's a great quote from Ald. Mary Ann Smith:
"I will never cease my support for the mayor,"
It appears there will be no changes in Chicago as it declines.
