The Huffington Post has guest blogger actress Jamie Lee Curtis demanding great grades from Presidential candidates:
I couldn't hold my own for one minute in a debate on any issue with someone like a Barack Obama or Joseph Biden and neither can Sarah Palin. When the call comes at 3AM I want a mind who was at the top of their class, who has gravitas and a real intellect. I want a leader who is a scholar who can hold the history of civilization in his head and will read and learn from the past as he charts the future.
Jamie Lee Curtis doesn't keep up too much on current events. Here's liberal columnist
E.J. Dionne on the academically challenged Joe Biden:
Mr. Biden eventually received a grade of 80 in the course, which, he joked today, prevented him from falling even further in his class rank. Mr. Biden, who graduated from the law school in 1968, was 76th in a class of 85.
The file also included Mr. Biden's transcript from his days as an undergraduate at the University of Delaware. In his first three semesters, his grades were C's or D's, with three exceptions: two A's in physical education courses, a B in a course on ''Great English Writers'' and an F in R.O.T.C. The grades improved somewhat later but were never exceptional.
The burden of being a Democrat and some much "smarter" than the Republicans doesn't seem to apply to Joe Biden. As far as Barack Obama goes,Mr."World Class" Scholar wasn't big on publishing law review articles.Plus,Mr. Obama refuses to release his grades. Is Mr. Obama the ultimate affirmative action Harvard Law student?
