Gas prices blamed in some insurance scams

The Miami Herald reports:

In yet another sign of the tough economic times, a new report suggests that rising fuel prices may be responsible for more vehicle owners staging the theft and vandalism of their gas guzzlers, presumably so they can downsize to smaller automobiles.
