Chicago Sun-Times Columnist Lynn Sweet Forgets Congress Funds Social Security and Attacks Palin as Confused

Lynn Sweet of The Chicago Sun-Times reports:

-Sarah Palin, talking about domestic policy with ABC's Charles Gibson in his second day of exclusive access on Friday, seemed confused about entitlement programs -- and unaware that Congress has little say in significantly reducing the costs of Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare.

Really.Is Lynn Sweet aware that Congress can eliminate or cut funding for Social Security and other federal government programs? Maybe Lynn Sweet should take a class in political science or economics.Couldn't the layers of editors at The Chicago Sun-Times caught this mistake on Sweet's part? It's not Sara Palin who's confused,it's Lynn Sweet.
