Edwards Scandal and The National Enquirer: Questions

Mickey Kaus has been blogging on the Edwards scandal.The MSM has been rather quiet on the subject.Anyway,there are some questions concerning Edwards and The National Enquirer.How did the Enquirer get the picture? We assume Edwards didn't give it to them.Did Rielle give it to the Enquirer? Or was the picture sold to the Enquirer by someone very close to Rielle and/or Edwards? Was Rielle trying to cut a deal with John Edwards before the picture came out? Wouldn't The National Enquirer published the picture right after their reporters were at the hotel? Is Rielle paying federal income taxes on the money she's alleged to be getting from John Edwards? Is this a "structured deal"?
