Edwards Admits Sexual Affair; Lied as Presidential Candidate

ABC News reports that Edwards admits to having an affair.But here's an interesting quote:

Edwards denied paying any money to Hunter to keep her from going public but said it was possible some of his friends or supporters may have made payments without telling him.

Edwards wants you to believe that his friends and supporters paid money to hush up something he said wasn't true! We don't claim to be experts on campaign finance laws, but we wonder if making pay offs( to hush things up) is a violation of federal campaign laws?
