Chicago's Median Household Income Down $2500 Since 1999

The Chicago Tribune reports on new census numbers:
The poverty rate in Chicago was 20.5 percent in 2007, down from 21.2 percent in 2006. But it is up slightly from the 1999 rate of 19.6 percent. After adjusting for inflation, Chicago's median household income figure is down more than $2,500 from 1999.
No word yet from Mayor Daley or the Obama campaign on this one.
