FBI Chief Faults Gun Ruling

The Hartford Courant reports:
Last week's landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling that upheld a constitutional right to own guns for self-defense and hunting may harm efforts to deter violent crime in communities and college campuses, FBI Director Robert Mueller said Monday.

Speaking at a convention of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators in Hartford, Mueller criticized the ruling, which he said "does throw a lot of things up in the air."
President Bush's FBI chief not very pro-gun rights.
