Embattled Southfield lawyer Geoffrey Fieger has asked for a change of venue in next week's criminal trial, saying potential jurors don't like him.
"Scores of jurors expressed extreme dislike, animus and bias toward Mr. Fieger, his political activities, and his past representation of Dr. Kevorkian," Fieger lawyer Gerry Spence said in a request to U.S. District Judge Paul Borman.
Fieger and his law partner, Vernon (Ven) Johnson, are accused of making $127,000 in illegal contributions to John Edwards' 2004 presidential campaign. Jury selection begins Monday.
