Will Rezko lawyers play Obama card?

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:

Barack Obama is a pretty popular fellow around here, notwithstanding the mounting bumps and bruises of a vigorous presidential campaign.

And so you have to ask yourself: If you were Tony Rezko's lawyer, wouldn't you take every opportunity to make jurors aware of your client's longtime friendship with the Illinois senator?

Might their past relationship cause just one Obama-friendly juror to think to himself or herself that this Rezko must not be such a bad guy after all if he was close to Obama?
