No, she’s not finished.
With support from a base of blue-collar, laid-off steel workers, senior women who’ve waited their whole lives to see a woman president, and Hispanics, Hillary Clinton broke her 11-state losing streak with wins in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island.
Her Texas primary victory wasn’t declared until just before midnight. But earlier in the evening, she was already proclaiming her comeback.
Delegate count up in air “For everyone here in Ohio and across America who’s ever been counted out but refused to be knocked out, and for everyone who has stumbled but stood right back up, and for everyone who works hard and never gives up, this one is for you,” the New York senator told cheering supporters here.
Even though she won the most votes in three out of the four contests Tuesday, it was not clear whether she would get more delegates than rival Barack Obama — who was expected to out-score her in the caucus part of the Texas “two-step” election.
