Rezko lawyers complain about 'deplorable' jail, shared underwear

The Chicago Tribune reports:
Lawyers for Antoin "Tony" Rezko, complaining about "deplorable" conditions in a federal south Loop jail where Rezko is incarcerated, Wednesday asked a judge to release him to home confinement during his upcoming fraud trial.

Rezko's attorney, Joseph J. Duffy, proposed that a private security firm watch Rezko 24 hours a day at his Wilmette home.

Duffy said Rezko is being held in solitary confinement in the Metropolitan Correctional Center. He is confined to a cell 23 hours a day in a tier that requires inmates to share underwear, he said.
