The former finance chief of Yusef Jackson's beer distributorship says he was fired after raising concerns about "illegal activities" in the way company money was spent. No word yet on whether Jesse Jackson will lecture this week on corporate greed.
In a lawsuit, Adam Fishman says River North Sales & Service funds were used to pay the cell phone and car expenses for Jackson's mother, Jacqueline, even though she doesn't work there.
She is married to the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
Fishman also claims that Yusef Jackson forced company employees to do personal work for him at his home, while Yusef Jackson and others improperly used company credit cards for personal expenses, while never providing receipts before being reimbursed by the firm.
"Adam saw activities he knew were a problem and didn't want to participate in them," said his attorney, Joel Bellows. "He raised those concerns and was fired for it."
