Comrade Bernie Sanders introduces children's health insurance bill

The AP reports:

Vermont US Senator Bernie Sanders plans to introduce legislation that would provide health care to all American children -- including the 9-million who are currently uninsured.

Marian Wright Edelman -- president of the Chidren's Defense Fund -- appeared with Sanders by video linkup today to promote the All Healthy Chidren Act.

The legislation makes eligible all children with family incomes at or below 300% of the federal poverty level. That's a bit less than $$62,000 for a family of 4.

Sanders says Vermont has been a national leader in children's health insurance and the rest of the country needs to catch up.

Comrade Sanders wants to build socialism one law at a time.At least Comrade Sanders isn't hiding behind the "liberal" label like Comrade Edelman.
