The problem of junk science

William Rusher reports:
In 2005 the budget of the National Institutes of Health was $28.8 billion. Enormous sums are spent every year on what some scientist has decided is a new danger to public health. But how much do you suppose Uncle Sam would squander on a scientist who demonstrated that in fact it wasn't a danger?
Rent-seeking.Maybe it's time to separate science from state.
