25 years for bored aide in '04 rape

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:

A former nursing home aide who raped a severely disabled patient because he was bored at work received a 25-year prison sentence Wednesday for the 2004 assault that left the woman pregnant.

Reynaldo Brucal, now 20, was arrested in 2005 after his DNA matched that of a baby girl delivered by the 23-year-old victim following the assault -- an attack discovered only when the mentally and physically disabled woman became noticeably pregnant.

In imposing the prison term, DuPage County Judge George Bakalis ripped Brucal for his actions, which Brucal told authorities occurred when he became bored while working as a nurse's aide at Alden Village Health Facility in Bloomingdale.

Sickening.
