Chicago Worker tied to bar beating

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:
A city Streets and Sanitation Department employee has been questioned by Cook County prosecutors in their investigation of an off-duty Chicago Police officer's videotaped beating of bartender Karolina Obrycka.

Terry Ekl, an attorney for Obrycka, said the off-duty Streets and San worker tried to bribe Obrycka to drop her complaint against his friend, Officer Anthony Abbate. Shortly after the beating, the worker offered to help Obrycka with her medical bills, Ekl said.
