Chicago Public School System to Cut 270 Teachers

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:
Chicago public schools may have to slash 270 teaching positions because of an expected enrollment drop this fall of 4,000 students, officials said Tuesday.

CPS officials expect enrollment to plummet to 409,000 this fall, the fifth year in a row of declines, CPS spokesman Michael Vaughn said.
Still no word yet from the urban lovers on when people with families will come back to the city.You'll notice Phoenix isn't having this problem.
